carrying your beauty

For the most part, (or we hope at least), we are taught from a very young age that beauty starts on the inside. Happiness, self-confidence, and self-purpose are among the things that allow us to exude the beauty we all obtain somewhere within. So the question being, if we can obtain these qualities in ourselves, why do we still need to make ourselves up?

The answer may differ from person to person, but from our point of view, our physical image is the finishing touch on our selves as a whole. We use our physical entities to enhance the aspects of us that we love. If you love your lips, focus on them. If you have hair that people your whole life have been telling you they would die for, embrace it. If your eyes are as blue as an iceberg, learn how to define them without out taking away from their natural allure. You’re not tall, you’re statuesque. You’re not short, you’re petite. Your hair isn’t frizzy, it’s wild and fun. Just like you.

We’re all aware of the implications a first impression leaves. Whether it be makeup or hair color or a perfectly fitted jacket, these tools are crucial in developing and maintaining our individual look. The result? A clear and confident representation of whom we truly are.

“Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.” ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
