This post has been a long time coming. But it did not become so obvious to us until after our being immersed in Brooklyn’s fashion last week. It is time to finally leave the cowboy boots at home. For good. R.I.P.

This has to go. We counted 4 women in 10 minutes dressed in this look with either a short dress or flared skirt. It was 85 degrees. Way too humid to even be wearing a boot, let alone heavy cowboy boots that actually weigh down the look of an effervescent summer dress.

For Fall and Winter, we still believe in a western look and feel such as these boots by Frye:

We just want to ensure that the actual cowboy boots with all of their bells, whistles and frills are left for the real cowboys to wear with a pair of Wranglers tucked inside.
